Why Rest Is Important

Guess what! Your rest is not high maintenance! It's actually wildly important because your rest determines your energy.

When you start to understand how men's and women’s bodies work so differently, you see how rest is non-negotiable.

Think about the last time you felt truly spacious + open. Maybe this was on a really good vacation, maybe this was before kids, maybe this was yesterday…when was it for you?

When you have felt your best, your most vibrant, your most clear…

I’ll bet it was a time when you were well-rested. And rested doesn’t mean when you are dealing with adrenal fatigue and can’t help but stay in bed, that’s proof of NOT resting for too long so your body has to demand it from you.

For men, cortisol, adrenaline, and testosterone work synergistically in the body. They wake up with a cocktail of hormones that make them ready to pop out of bed and hit the gym (or stay in bed if you know what I mean 😘).

I’ve never seen a man get onboard with low the cortisol morning trend. Biologically that doesn’t serve them + energetically, the masculine thrives when challenged.

Did you know male athletes may be more motivated to practice and learn new skills when their performances are compared to teammates? But female athletes tend to respond best when their progress is measured against their previous performance?

The masculine needs competition - they thrive with the pressure.

(Remember when I use masculine/feminine I’m talking about the biology and the energetic results of that, some women may experience more neutral energy but our biology influences the potency- I’ve never met a woman who sincerely thrives under competition with another woman the same way a man would. That’s a whole other conversation)

The feminine is her most powerful in a rested state. She doesn’t have to go out and conquer, she magnetizes things to her. When she is in a rested state she is full of vitality and deliciousness ✨ she radiates energy and people, opportunities, and abundance can’t help but draw near.

Now let me challenge you as a woman for a moment:

If you’re thinking, “ Well that’s great Beth but I can’t be rested I have little ones or 2 jobs or…”

I want you to find 2 women in your sphere of influence (immediate sphere or even on social media) who have kiddos or have 2 jobs, or whatever it is for you who ALSO are rested or have spaciousness.

If you can’t find 2, I want you to find 3 because they are out there but your eyes need to be open to the possibilities. Instead of saying you can’t create space, ask yourself how you CAN. How have these women done it? Let them expand what you believe is possible.

You are a creator by design, capable of bringing life from nothing. You can create spaciousness but it first requires you to let go of the misunderstanding and excuses that you can’t for x, y, z, reason.

This is why subconscious and somatic work is so KEY: we re-wire those limiting misunderstandings so you can step into your freedom.

So instead of running yourself into the ground and resisting rest or judging yourself when you take a break, let yourself lean into it. Soak it all in. And then, when you’re ready, get back out there with renewed energy.

You got this,

xx Beth
