Embracing Winter’s Pause: Let’s Chat About Rest, Renewal, and Finding Space for What Matters
Hey friend,
I hope you’ve got a warm drink in hand and a comfy spot to settle into because today, we’re going to chat about something close to my heart—taking an intentional pause. With winter just around the corner, I can’t help but think about how this season invites us to slow down, reflect, and just be for a while. And honestly? It feels like such a relief.
You know, life has a way of getting overwhelming, doesn’t it? We juggle work, family, our health (oh, the health curveballs), and so many expectations. But winter, with its quiet chill, kind of gives us permission to step back. It whispers, “Hey, it’s okay to take a breath.” So, that’s what I’m doing, and I’d love for you to join me in this pause.
Why Pauses Matter More Than Ever
Have you ever noticed how everything in nature cycles through periods of activity and rest? Trees shed their leaves, animals hibernate, and even the earth takes a break. But somehow, we forget to give ourselves that same grace. We push through fatigue, ignore our body’s signals, and keep moving as if rest is a luxury we can’t afford. I’ve been there—more times than I care to admit.
For me, the past couple of years have been a bit of a whirlwind. Between family health crises and my own struggles with things like pneumonia that knocked me out for a solid month, I realized that I had to listen to my body. Every symptom was a little nudge (sometimes a hard shove) to slow down. It wasn’t easy—I’m sure you get it. But it was necessary. And through all of it, I learned that rest isn’t weakness. It’s where we find strength to keep going.
Creating Space for What Really Matters
This winter, I’m focusing on giving myself space to reflect and recharge. I’m thinking about the traditions I want to create, especially now that we’ve made Montana our home. I want this holiday season to be one of presence, not just presents. And I’m curious—what traditions make your heart feel full? Maybe it’s baking cookies with the kids, a quiet walk in the snow, or simply curling up with a good book. Whatever it is, I hope you give yourself permission to soak it in.
On the business side of things, I’ve made some shifts too. Instead of taking on a ton of one-to-one clients, I’ve been working on expanding group programs like Cycle Sync for Life. This relaunch feels different—more intuitive, more aligned with how I believe women should be supported. It’s all about helping you connect with your body and rhythms without the rigidity of do-this, don’t-do-that lists. Because deep down, you already know what you need, right? Sometimes, you just need a little guidance to bring that inner wisdom to the surface.
Finding Your Own Winter Pause
I’ll be honest—slowing down can feel uncomfortable. It’s tempting to stay busy, to fill every moment so we don’t have to sit with the “stuff” that bubbles up. But what if we just... stayed with it? What if we gave ourselves a break from the hustle and embraced a slower pace? I’m giving myself that gift this winter. I’m choosing to be with whatever comes up, the good and the messy, and I’m inviting you to do the same.
Maybe it looks like taking a walk in the crisp air without your phone. Maybe it’s saying no to extra commitments so you can say yes to what truly fills your heart. Or maybe it’s just letting yourself rest without guilt. Whatever it is, I hope you find a way to honor this winter pause. You deserve it.
A Few Things to Look Forward To
Before I go, I wanted to share a little peek at what’s next. I’m relaunching Cycle Sync for Life in just a few days, and it’s packed with even more depth and richness. Plus, I’ll be offering the Gentle Business Jumpstart as a group program—perfect for women ready to build a business that honors their feminine rhythms without burnout. And for those looking for a deeper dive, Alchemy is coming. It’s my way of helping you take what you’ve started and turn it into something truly magical.
But for now, let’s take a breath. Let’s pause. I’ll be back in the new year, refreshed and ready. Until then, I hope you find moments of stillness and joy in this winter season. And remember—you don’t have to do it all. You are enough, just as you are, in this moment.
Cheers to a gentle winter,
xx Beth
