The Truth Behind Burnout
I’ve lived in burnout. I’ve destroyed my digestion so badly I could only eat three foods for a year.
I know what it’s like to be so tired I’ve lost memory.
I know how scary it is to feel so tired I physically can’t get out of bed.
It’s was long journey back and it’s why I’m so passionate about ditching the entire system that makes you work yourself into a grave. It’s why I teach what I do and help women create gentle businesses.
The only outcome to burning the candle at both ends is burnout.
And maybe you’ll be lucky and it’ll just be a bad cold or migraine.
The truth is, though, many women are now ending up with something like chronic illness or autoimmune disease.
Maybe it’ll look like extra weight your body is packing on to protect you from the perceived threat of being in chronic fight or flight. Those “stubborn pounds” are actually your body’s way of giving you armor because of this invisible threat of stress.
I don’t say this to scare you – actually it’s just the opposite. It’s to take the blinders off and show you the result of working from the unsustainable hustle making women so sick.
You’re far too precious to be in pain and exhausted.
You have too much to offer this world to be living with brain fog, overwhelm, and anxiety.
You’re full of too many world changing ideas to be disconnected and unable to engage in your own life.
